Welcome to Heart of Hawes; a 200 year old spacious, warm, well furnished and spotlessly presented holiday cottage for up to five guests (and a baby / toddler) and up to two dogs.
We appeal to you as a couple (or two couples), families, or a group of friends. You'll find everything in Hawes within easy reach (it really is only 100m to a 400 year old pub and three minutes walk to almost every amenity in Hawes).
Highlights include relaxing by the inglenook fireplace, good sized bedrooms offering fabulous views, and the suntrap cottage garden (with secure dog / toddler area).
This really is an incredible premium quality cottage for visiting 'All Creatures Great & Small' land, and the home of Wensleydale Cheese.

Simply give us a call to request to book and we will then immediately contact you to discuss adding the extra night(s) to your holiday. The principle is you pay for the highest priced nights, and the cheapest priced night(s) will be free.
We reserve the right to decline enquiries or to ask you to consider changed dates (because they leave us one or two nights voids between bookings), and or to withdraw this offer at any time. You must mention the offer at the time of booking; it will not be applied retrospectively. There may be dates where due to adjacent bookings it is not possible to offer the extra night and, in such circumstances, we may find another way to offer you some goodwill at our discretion. Offer cannot be combined with any other promotion we may run. Dates cannot be split across two separate stays, they must be one continuous stay. Offer went live on the 24th July 2026.
A Perfect Location - Amenities At Hand, Walking From The Front Door
Heart of Hawes Holiday Cottage is arguable the best located cottage in Hawes. Central but in a quietly set back position (minimal road or general public noise), with just enough elevation to offer fabulous views over the town towards Stag's Fell and The Buttertubs beyond.
Everything in Hawes is within easy strolling distance; Within 3 minutes walk you have four cafe's, four pubs, pharmacy, ATM's, independent shops, old fashioned sweet shop, ice cream parlour, galleries, Hawes Chippie (arguably the best fish and chip shop in Britain) and Hawes Play Park.
Hawes Waterfall is only 250m from the cottage, and we have another four stunning waterfalls within 30 minutes walk of the cottage. It's just a five minutes walk to The Dales Countryside Museum, and a 7 minute Walk to The Wensleydale Creamery Visitors centre.

A Pawfect Cottage For Your Dogs
Dogs are family, and we are set up to welcome two dogs. We've a dog station with bowls, treats, drying towels, and poo bags. Our external annex has a metal sink (cold water only) for small dog wash off as required.
Outside the kitchen door we have a paved passageway with secure gating and then its up six steps into a small cottage garden with a mix of fence, wall and gates keeping it secure. We suggest you supervise dogs closely when in the garden (our neighbour's have the right to cross our garden).
We kindly ask you not to leave dogs unattended in the cottage, and to keep dogs downstairs please (we provide a stairgate). It's appreciated if you can please check your dogs flea treatment is up to date. Please bring your own dog bedding as required.

We try to accommodate check in on any day of the week and for both short and long stays.
Sometimes we put a minimum length of stay on our booking settings, but do give us a call and we may be able to flex.
Cancellation Policy
100% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 28 day(s) or earlier before the first day of your holiday
No refunds for shorter notice cancellation (less than 28 days notice).
Security Deposit
A pre-authorization of GBP 200.00 is held on 1 day(s) before arrival and voided on 3 day(s) after departure
